These are drawings of great dancers, mostly ballet.  I have taken for my subject not only the body of

the dancer, but also the intelligence that forms it and the spirit that makes art with it.  I have tried to

make visible how it feels and what it means to live in these bodies.  These drawings are available in a

beautiful hand-bound book, “The Still Point”, which was published in London and won six
